Site updated 14th May - star links include this stylish kitchen island unit and beautiful set of Four Penny chairs

Semley Reclamation was established in 2001 in Shunters Yard, Semley, Dorset. Set in the heart of the countryside, an area of outstanding natural beauty, we are just a mile and a half from the Saxon hill top town of Shaftesbury (and 4 miles south of the A303).

Situated on a ¾ acre site, which has been in constant use since set up by the Americans in World War II. We are easy to find and opposite the site of the old railway station on the direct line to London which now operates from Gillingham or Tisbury.

Semley Reclamation, Dorset - reclaimed materials from across the west country

We pride ourselves on our innovative and imaginative use of materials.  Most of the timbers use in the construction of furniture and buildings were originally used because they were perfect for their purpose one or two hundred years ago. Imagination is often the only limiting factor when looking for inspiration for a new use for those same materials today...and you could provide this inspiration.
With the passage of time all old materials and antiques develop their own wonderful and unique patina. We always do our utmost to preserve these unique characteristics when working with reclaimed materials to produce new pieces of furniture with all the qualities of craftsmanship and colouration as their prized antique counterparts. Please browse through our workshop pages to see examples.
We are confident you will find a friendly, professional service due to the fact we pride ourselves on our old fashioned values and service. We keep an eclectic mix of all things interesting, antique, modern and collectable, as well as the down right insane! So whether you are simply restoring an old property, or mixing old with the new, we are sure you will find something in our yard for your project.
Hope to see you soon
